Policies

Movement Dance generally follows the Coweta County calendar. In case of inclement weather, the studio will close when Coweta County Schools close. Check our social media pages for updates on weather-related cancellations. Unfortunately, we do not offer makeup classes for inclement weather closures.

Movement Dance reserves the right to cancel classes due to low enrollment. Families with enrolled students will be contacted to discuss alternative options. Classes must have 3 or more students registered for the class to continue. 

For our dancers 7 and up, we have a drop off only policy. Parents should plan to wait in their car, outside or are able to leave and run errands. Our dancers ages 2-6 may have ONE parent wait in the lobby during their class time. Please note that our lobby is very small. If you have more than one person (or other children) it is encouraged for you to wait outside in your car or on our benches. We do not want to disrupt any of the classes that are going on.

All tuition paid is non-refundable and non-transferable. Tuition covers class costs only and excludes performance fees, costume fees, etc. Tuition is based on a 10-month season and is not prorated by the number of weeks in a month. There are no make-up classes if a dancer misses class.

Tuition will be posted on the 28th of every month. Tuition is due by the 1st and a $15 late fee will be applied to your account on the 7th if tuition isn't paid. We recommend auto pay for all families, but it is not required. Please note that there is a processing fee for auto-pay. You may pay by check or cash as well. All accounts require a credit card on file in order to register for classes. A $35 NSF fee will be charged for any declined card payment.

MDC does not offer any refunds. This includes but is not limited to: Registration Fees, Costume Fees, Competition Fees, Tuition, Late Fees, Recital Tickets, Misc. Fees, Dancewear, and all other fees acquired to your account.

A once per school year, non-refundable $30 registration fee is due at the time of registration.

There is a $60 recital fee due in the month of February ($30 for second student).

Recital costume fees are $100 per costume.

We require 30 days notice for withdrawal from a class. For example, if you withdraw from a class December 5th you will still be charged January 1st tuition. Once choreography for the May recital has begun in January, students are strongly encouraged to stay enrolled in the class.

RECITAL WILL BE MAY 31 AT SANDY CREEK HIGH SCHOOL. REHEARSALS WILL BE MAY 29 AND 30 AT SANDY CREEK.
